Dear Sirs and Brethren,

Welcome to the website of Glandore Lodge no. 551 in the Province of Antrim.

While much has changed since my installation as Worshipful Master in February 2020, I have been glad to witness the adaptability of our Brethren during this global pandemic.
Monthly Zoom meetings have allowed us to maintain some semblance of normality (despite puzzling the more technophobic folk among us!), and I am delighted that we were able to establish our 2024 Centenary Committee and continue to provide financial support to our widows in spite of the years’ challenges. Many thanks go to W. Bro Mark Hewitt for his role as Committee Chair and W. Bro David Savage for his vital outreach.

We have managed to keep a firm grasp on our administrative responsibilities, including keeping up with our important charity donations and managing our lodge bills, and we are grateful to W. Bro Frank Lee for his proactive contributions to the management of these tasks. I would also like to thank W. Bro Roy Mayne for his hard work in updating our website and sincerely appreciate his dedication and expertise.

Brethren will be aware that all officers will remain in post for the coming 2021/22 years and it is crucial that through these difficult times we not only retain our membership numbers but endeavour to recruit new members.

Finally, I would like to recognise the network of NHS staff, key workers, carers and volunteers in our communities, many of whom are among our Masonic Brothers. I would, on behalf of Glandore Lodge no. 551, like to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices they have made for us

I am hopeful that happier times are coming, and wish you and your families a healthy new year.
